Album Review: No Fun At All - Grit (Bird Attack Records)
Artist: No Fun At All Title: Grit Label: Bird Attack Records Release Date: 13/04/2018 Grit’ is the latest release by long standing Swedish skate punkers No Fun At All. Consisting of 12 tracks of catchy well polished and well produced melodic hardcore skate punk, the album is far from gritty-as the albums title suggests. Released on US label Bird Attack Records, ‘Grit’ is an album very much in the vain of mid 90’s American skate punk bands, such as Bad Religion and Pennywise. Undoubtedly, the record tows the line well between being both catchy and melodic (with well developed songs) and at the same time staying true to being a fast punk rock record. Not only is the music worth a good listen but also the wax comes in several different multi colour formats, which will certainly get vinyl collectors chomping at the bit.
